I can remember Dawn teaching this to the moms like it was yesterday. Some women embraced this new at the time concept, many did not. I can say that my heart was convicted and have not worn pants for seven years now. I don't own any. Thank you for that teaching Dawn. My son Michael is 15 yrs. old and gets very upset at the way the girls dress for church. I was trying to discuss this subject in a bible study once and the women looked at me as though I had two heads.I was trying to explain what Pastor Brendan said about being a stumbling block. Anyway this topic brought back memories. Most Pastors seem afraid to meet the issue head-on while the biblical guidelines are quite clear; rather, they pretend they don't see the problem in their congregations. Has our culture's "must avoid offending at all costs" mindset really permeated God's Church so deeply that we're afraid to stand on biblical ground? You may ultimately have to add a qualifier to the one-piece bathing suit rule (i.e., modest one-piece), since females might tend to take even that limitation to the nth degree. It was a privilege and wonderful blessing to be able to meet and talk with Bro. Keith Daniel. I have been influenced by his preaching, and glad to be. How I praise the Lord for such a godly man that will preach the unaltered, uncomprimised Word of God! We need more of them. I also very muched enjoyed getting to meet Shaw's and fellowship all Sunday afternoon with Ruth and Emilie Misko and her sisters! It was wounderful! I wish that I would have been able to stay for the rest of the meetings, but oh I thank God for opening the doors for me to be there Sat. and Sunday.
